Hiya.
Well, Hairspray finished for me and a lot of my friends and colleagues on Saturday just gone. It was a great day. Unfortunately it was bitter sweet cos dear Nigel Planer was too poorly to perform. I was very upset for him missing his last day with us all, but of course happy that i would be playing Wilbur on my final day. Thanks for all your support when opposite me as Edna, Nigel. I hope you are back to full health soon.
It was also amazing to be there onstage when the wonderful Emma Dodds was proposed to by her partner Peachy - a truly beautiful moment.
I wish the cast of Hairspray all the best and continue to happily be part of the 'family'. I have left at the right time for me - i have learned a lot good and bad and hope to carry the experience on to other exciting things in the future.
Thank you all for your support and generous words at the stage door, on Facebook, with cards and gifts - much appreciated.
I am going to Swansea for pantomime season at The Grand Theatre - Sleeping Beauty. It has all been a bit last minute and I'm not even sure of the exact dates but I will let you know.
Acting to me is a joy - I'm so glad for the opportunity to share it.
Keep me posted how you all are getting on.
A xxx
PS - Thanks Edna and all the Shaftesbury x

So the time is approaching to say Goodbye to Hairspray. I must admit it is surreal cos after all the performances that i have loved and enjoyed \i am now sitting on my arse without even my own dressing space - makes me feel SOOO appreciated,
Am grateful to those of you who have seen me again and again in all of the roles I have cared for and watch this space for my next job over Xmas time,
Hairspray is a great show n in the right hands will continue to be so, continue supporting it in town or on tour,
It has been a joy to work with so many talented people who i am proud to call my friends, The generosity of Brian Conley on and off stage has been top notch delight and i thank him for that - a decent guy who is humble supportive and funny. The most supportive fun I have ever experienced on a stage - making me fire at my best n most relaxed. I shall treasure it.
I wish Bally Leanne and Ben all wonderful things since they have left,
I shall try to be better at keeping u all up to date with any future work \i hope i will be able to get.
In the meantime - keep smiling n ill see u somewhere in the future,
A XXX
